We are looking for a talented and experienced Design Director with a strong background in UI/UX design to lead our design team and drive the visual and user experience aspects of our projects.
Position Overview
As a Design Director at Platform Universal, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity and user experience of our client projects. You will lead a team of designers, ensuring the creation of exceptional UI/UX solutions that align with our client’s goals and objectives. The ideal candidate is a creative visionary with extensive UI/UX experience, capable of leading design projects from concept to implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
Design Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of designers to deliver top-tier design solutions.
Strategy and Planning: Work closely with cross-functional teams and clients to understand project objectives and develop design strategies that align with business development goals.
Branding: Ensure brand consistency across all design materials, both for clients and our own company, while also contributing to the development of new brand identities.
UI/UX Design: Oversee the creation of user interfaces, user experiences, and digital assets for web and mobile applications, ensuring they are user-friendly, visually appealing, and intuitive.
Client Engagement: Engage with clients to gather design requirements, present concepts, and receive feedback. Adapt designs based on client preferences and project goals.
Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous quality checks on all design deliverables to ensure accuracy, adherence to best practices, and alignment with project goals.
Trends and Innovation: Stay current with design trends, tools, and best practices in the UI/UX field, and implement innovative design solutions to remain competitive in the market.
Budget Management: Collaborate with project managers to ensure that design projects are executed within budget and timeline constraints.
Reporting: Provide regular project updates and performance reports to senior management and clients.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in design, visual communications, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
Proven experience in UI/UX design and leadership, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful projects.
Expertise in design software and tools, including Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, Canva or any prototyping tools.
Excellent understanding of user-centred design principles and a passion for creating exceptional user experiences.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey design concepts and ideas to clients and team members.
Strong project management and budgeting skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
